Imagine Schools Family Involvement Project
The Imagine Schools on Superior community is proud to announce the kick-off of our Family Involvement Project. Our goal is to strengthen Imagine Schools’ role in building the sense of connection in the school-neighborhood community, to increase student success, and to promote family wellness. Starting in April 2012, staff members from the Stark Social Worker’s Network will be at the school weekly to assist families, as needed. During the 2012-2013 school year, a new program called “The Incredible Years” will be provided to parents, teachers, and children. The IY program builds children’s social emotional skills, supports families with parenting strategies, and strengthens teachers’ classroom management. The Barbershop Project will be a series of events focusing on our male students, and supporting the role of the barbershop as a place of mentoring.

Partners for the Family Involvement Project are Imagine Schools, Stark Social Worker’s Network, and Community Services of Stark County, Inc. Thanks to funding provided by the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Stark County, the activities and supports are free to neighborhood families.
