Mission Statement 

    Stark Social Workers Network is a multifaceted agency committed to addressing the community needs through varous social services and to improve the quality of life for families, our community and the world.

    Stark Social Workers Network strives to become a part of the safety net for our community.

History

    Stark Social Workers Network was started in 1989 by Mrs. Beverly Jordan, current Executive Director.  She felt the need to serve the populations that are identified as hard-to-serve, at risk, or those families and children who lack a safety net.   

    Stark Social Workers Network is a community based non-profit organization that provides various programs which support the principle of flexible program-delivery that target the needs of children, youth and families.  Stark Social Workers Network strongly supports family- driven neighborhood-based services. 

    We believe that in contributing to and supporting children and families, ultimately neighborhoods and communities are strengthened.  We espouse this philosophy as we offer the many services of Stark Social Workers Network.

    We also have volunteer students from Malone University, Walsh University, Stark State and Brown Mackie College working with us.  Several mentors also are involved with the families that we serve.

    We also appreciate the many volunteers who donate items, time and money to us for our programs.
